Lost form (Fiese Män, series 1)*)

I made the formwork in 2022 from discarded wood from waste skips (including from the Schauspielhaus Zurich) so that I could use it to cast concrete moulds.
As the term "lost mould" suggests, the formwork no longer exists. I had photographed the moulds before casting them with concrete. I enlarged them to their approximate original object size.
The curtain in the background of the photos protects the back of my studio from dust. In the photographs, it "sets the scene" for the objects and turns the negative forms into the actual objects.
*) Fiese Män, series 1: I found the title of the work, which consists of incomplete words, on the waste wood and adopted it unchanged.
